A couple of weeks ago, I spent the weekend at the KRG Race shop. Geno and I worked on his car and made some good progress. The dash is fabricated as well as the mounting of all switches, Aims system, comm system and controls. I had a blast working with Geno and look forward to getting him back on the race track! His car will be a bit more high tech than the rest of ours, and I expect it to be highly competitive as well. Here are a few pics of the “FK2″ (still curious as to what the FK stands for).
Aside from the Aims system, the car will also have a brake bias adjustment on the dash and Radio communication to his crew chief, C.K. . He has also removed the charging system, and fan. The motor will be cooled by air ducts (yet to be worked out). The chassis designed and built by Terry Murray, is even more refined than previous cars. My favorite part is the extra room between the firewall and motor, this will be a very easy car to work on, even at the track, pulling the motor should be quick and easy ( I am considering a new car for myself, but we’ll see how this one performs, I am sure it will do quite well).
The KRG Race shop had every amenity, including the most important part of any well stocked race garage…..
